About RAIUC
RAIUC is committed to being open about how it is funded and how its independence is protected.
RAIUC is an independent, not-for-profit initiative. It is currently funded privately to support the development, operation and promotion of responsible AI use.
RAIUC does not currently receive funding from AI companies, technology providers, certification applicants or government bodies.
RAIUC's commitments, guidance and certification process are developed independently. No external organisation controls which organisations may be certified, how the commitments are written or what information RAIUC publishes.
Organisations cannot pay to receive certification, influence a certification decision or change the outcome of the certification process.
RAIUC certification is provided free of charge. There is no fee to apply, receive a certificate or appear in the public certificate search.
Keeping certification free helps organisations of all sizes take practical steps towards responsible AI use.
RAIUC may in future receive grants, sponsorship, advertising income, donations or revenue from optional paid services.
Any future funding must support RAIUC's purpose and must not give a funder control over certification decisions, the 10 Responsible AI Commitments or RAIUC's published guidance.
The core RAIUC certification will remain free and accessible.
Where RAIUC has a commercial, sponsorship or funding relationship that could reasonably be relevant to users, we will disclose that relationship clearly.
Advertising or sponsorship will not be presented as independent guidance, certification approval or product endorsement.
